Carrying a Royal Ascot entry, River In Paradise sold for 100,000gns to Narvick and bloodstock agent Shawn Dugan during the Tattersalls Online June Pop-Up Sale on Friday.

Consigned by Robert Edwards's Uplands Stables, the daughter of Lope Y Fernandez holds an entry in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes. She won a six-furlong fillies' maiden at Lingfield on June 4.

Dugan said, “We are really excited. Marsha Naify is in England attending Royal Ascot and was alerted to this filly being in the Tattersalls Online sale. We all know how quickly these maiden winners go and they are very highly sought after in the States, both in California and on the East coast.

“We decided after reviewing all the professional and amazing information that was provided to us by Tattersalls, that she was worth pursuing. Robert Edwards was also very helpful in giving us all the information he had on the filly so we felt confident. The process was seamless.”

Bidding from Chantilly, Dugan and Laura de Seroux were delighted to secure the filly, who was a 10,000gns yearling out of the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale to Edwards.

“I thought the concept was a great idea and I said, why not, let's give it a go,” said Edwards. “Tattersalls have been incredibly helpful, steering me through the whole process. There has been extensive promotion of the sale across social media which has been great and, all in all we are very happy.”

Tattersalls Online sales manager Katherine Sheridan said, “We were delighted with the level of interest shown in River In Paradise. She was an exciting offering following an impressive debut victory and she attracted strong interest both domestically and internationally.

“Tattersalls Online continues to provide a platform for vendors to offer progressive horses at exactly the right moment in their careers. We thank the vendor and all participants for their support and we wish the new connections every success in the future.”
